I love horses, and had either one or two for more than half of my young life. I can't recall too many books featuring horses, but I did read a series in middle school that was very focused on horses and the horse community, called Heartland. I recently discovered it was made into a TV show (now in like season 8 or 9) by a Canadian news network and it is available on Netflix.
